Did you know that you have an option for long term parking of your vehicle(s)?
We don't enjoy reminding residents of rules and regulations, but they are in place for very good reason. In addition to the speeding issues, we have to remind residents of the violation of street parking which can also become hazardous to the safety of our residents. Our streets are narrow and were intentionally designed this way to discourage street parking.
All homeowners are expected to use their garage bays and driveways for their vehicles, family members and guests vehicles. We have had repeated warnings from the US Postal Service asking us to inform residents that they reserve the right to skip mail delivery to any home who’s mailbox is blocked by a vehicle on the road.
Nobody wants to miss their mail delivery and we certainly don't want anyone to not receive emergency medical care.
Don't be the one to block emergency vehicles.
Similarly, the Fire Department has warned us that they cannot provide adequate emergency response services when our streets are lined with parked cars. It makes it difficult for large fire trucks and ambulances to drive down the streets and turn around.
If you have a family member, friend or guest who needs to park their car for an extended period of time please contact Barbara Sacks (barbarasacksga@yahoo.com) to request long term parking at the pool. This is an easy option for any resident to avoid parking on the streets and as long as their is space at the pool, requests for long term parking will be granted.
Violators will be towed at their own expense. We prefer not to do this so please take advantage of the long term parking option as referenced above. As always, we truly appreciate your help in keeping our neighborhood safe.
